4-4-25   THOUGHTS

Our short reading this morning is both powerful and summary. Being “RAISED up with Christ”  reminds me instantly of Rom 6:4-5    “Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.  5  For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection...”  
We are raised up for a reason,,, to keep on seeking the things that are above, things spiritual!
Col 3:3 is our summary...  “For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.”  It goes on to say that “CHRIST IS TO BE OUR LIFE”!   This is Christ centered, focused, powerfully intensive living with PURPOSE!  We live INTENTIONALLY, ALL THE TIME!

Col 3:1-4    Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2  Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. 3  For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4  When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.

My Prayer:
Father, may our minds be as simple as these thoughts.  Help that to be in our lives.  May we be “died, raised up, seeking Christ” - children of  Yours.  Help us that Christ would be our life.   Release us from the distractions of this world.  Our desire is to be “revealed with Him in glory...”  Thank You ,O God, that You have made things as they are.   In Jesus,   Amen!
